I design for all of it, with API versioning so old app versions keep working, sensible retry and sync behavior, and endpoints shaped around how the app actually uses them rather than generic CRUD.
Notifications, uploads and the rest
Push notifications through Apple and Google's services, coordinated by your backend with device token management and user preferences. File and image uploads that go straight to object storage via signed URLs, so uploads scale independently of your servers. Background jobs for anything slow. The pieces a real mobile product needs, built properly.
Progressive web apps
Not every product needs a native app or the app store tax. A progressive web app installs to the home screen, sends push notifications and works offline, at a fraction of native cost and with no review cycles. When that fits your product better, I build it, and you ship native later only when users prove they want you in their pocket.
